ヤフーの創業者、ジェリー・ヤンとその妻の山崎晶子からの寄付を基に、2020年にオープンする新館の誕生を記念して、旧館と併せてデザインを制作しました。近代と現代、そして東洋と西洋が出会う場所。ふたつの異なる要素が交差する美術館を、Suttaの特徴でもある純粋かつ豊かな漆黒で描いています。

A new pavilion opens in 2020 with donations from Jerry Yang, Yahoo’s founder, and his wife, Akiko Yamazaki. In commemoration of its foundation, we created designs that incorporate both the new and the old building. Thus, a place where modern and contemporary meet and the West and the East are integrated is depicted. The museum, where two different elements intersect, is designed in the pure yet deep color of Sutta’s signature jet black.
